Job Description – Treasury Accountant

Department: Finance / Treasury
Reports to: Treasury Supervisor
Location: Dubai

Job Purpose

The Treasury Accountant is responsible for managing the company’s cash flow, banking activities, liquidity, and financial risk. This role ensures efficient utilization of funds, timely payments, and compliance with internal policies and banking requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor daily cash balances and ensure sufficient liquidity for operations
• Handle bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies
• Process payments (local and international transfers, WPS, supplier payments)
• Coordinate with banks for account opening, KYC, and banking facilities (POS, loans, guarantees, etc.)
• Manage and track post-dated cheques (PDCs) and collections
• Oversee treasury-related accounting entries and ensure proper recording in the system
• Monitor loan schedules, interest calculations, and repayments
• Assist in managing foreign exchange transactions and exposure
• Prepare treasury reports (daily bank position, fund utilization reports)
• Ensure compliance with company policies and banking regulations
• Support audits by providing required treasury documents and reconciliations

Key Skills & Competencies

• Strong knowledge of cash management and banking operations
• Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar)
• Advanced Excel skills
• Attention to detail and strong analytical skills
• Good communication and coordination with banks and internal teams

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
• 3–5 years of experience in treasury/accounting roles (preferably in a corporate environment)
• Experience working with multiple bank accounts and large transaction volumes
• Professional certifications (ACCA, CPA, CMA) are an advantage.
