Job Description – Graphic Designer
Department:Marketing & Brand
Reports to: Marketing Manager / Head of Marketing
Role Purpose
The Graphic Designer will be responsible for creating high-impact visual content that strengthens brand visibility, supports sales initiatives, and enhances customer engagement across digital, retail, packaging, and promotional touchpoints. The role blends creativity with commercial thinking—because good design should also move boxes, not just win compliments.
Key Responsibilities
- Brand & Visual Identity
- Develop and maintain consistent brand visuals across all platforms (digital, print, packaging, in-store).
- Ensure all creatives align with brand guidelines, tone, and market positioning.
- Adapt designs for different sub-brands (organic, premium, mass, B2B, retail).
- Digital & Social Media Creatives
- Design social media posts, stories, reels thumbnails, and campaign creatives for platforms like Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and e-commerce portals.
- Create monthly content creatives in line with marketing calendars and promotions.
- Optimize visuals for engagement, clarity, and platform-specific formats.
- Marketing & Sales Support
- Design flyers, brochures, posters, POS materials, trade marketing assets, and sales decks.
- Support promotional designs for retail chains, hypermarkets, and wholesale clients.
- Ensure fast turnaround for time-sensitive promotions (fresh produce doesn’t wait).
- Packaging & Product Design
- Design or adapt packaging visuals, labels, stickers, cartons, and crates.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory, barcode, and nutritional labeling requirements.
- Work closely with procurement, QA, and production teams on packaging rollouts.
- Website & E-commerce Assets
- Design website banners, landing page visuals, category icons, and product imagery layouts.
- Optimize creatives for e-commerce platforms and marketplaces.
- Ensure visuals support conversion and brand credibility.
- Motion Graphics & Video
- Create simple motion graphics, animated posts, GIFs, and short promotional videos.
- Support campaign launches, festive promotions, and product introductions.
- Collaborate with content and social teams on video concepts and executions.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with Marketing, Sales, E-commerce, Procurement, and Operations teams.
- Incorporate feedback professionally while protecting design quality and timelines.
- Support urgent requests without compromising quality (yes, even last-minute ones).
- Asset Management & Efficiency
- Maintain a structured design library (templates, files, fonts, images).
- Ensure version control and easy access for stakeholders.
- Continuously improve workflows for speed and consistency.
Required Skills & Experience
- Strong creative design capability with a sharp visual sense.
- 2–3 years of relevant experience in graphic design (agency or in-house).
- Proven experience in:
- Social media visuals & campaign creatives
- Website banners
- Flyers & marketing collateral
- Packaging designs
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
- Knowledge of motion graphics / animated videos (After Effects, Premiere Pro or similar).
- Experience in FMCG, food, fresh produce, retail, or trading companies.
- Basic understanding of digital marketing and social media performance.
- Attention to detail (tiny errors in design can have big consequences)
- Ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines
- Openness to feedback without creative ego
- Ownership and accountability for projects designated to the designer.
