Job Description –Trade marketing Executive
Job Purpose
To plan, execute, and optimize trade marketing initiatives that drive off-take, visibility, and brand equity of the company’s organic fresh food portfolio across key modern trade customers including Hypermarkets, Supermarkets, and Cooperatives.
This role bridges brand ambition and store-level reality—ensuring promotions are commercially effective, operationally feasible, and flawlessly executed where it matters most: in front of the shopper.
Key Account Coverage
- Hypermarkets, Cooperatives, Supermarkets across UAE
Key Responsibilities
- Trade Marketing Strategy & Planning
- Translate brand objectives for organic products into store-ready trade marketing plans
- Develop annual and quarterly trade marketing plans aligned with:
- Sales targets
- Seasonality of organic fresh produce
- Retailer promotional calendars
- Define channel-specific strategies (Hyper vs Coop vs Supermarket)
- Promotional Calendar Management
- Own and manage the customer-wise promotional calendar:
- Price-offs
- In-store activations
- End-cap & gondola promotions
- Leaflet & digital promotions
- Coordinate promo planning with:
- Key Account Managers
- Buyers / Category Managers
- Internal supply chain & operations teams
- Ensure timely submission, approval, and execution of promotions
- In-Store Activation & Execution Excellence
- Plan and execute:
- Sampling activities
- Organic awareness campaigns
- Health & wellness themed promotions
- Seasonal organic drives (Ramadan, Back to School, DSF, National Day, etc.)
- Ensure correct placement, pricing, POSM, and compliance with retailer guidelines
- Conduct store audits to validate:
- Availability
- Visibility
- Promotion compliance
- Price accuracy
- Brand Visibility & POSM Management
- Develop and deploy trade POSM:
- Shelf talkers
- Danglers
- Standees
- Organic signage and storyboards
- Ensure consistent organic brand storytelling at shelf level
- Monitor POSM usage, condition, and ROI
- Cross-Functional Coordination
- Work closely with:
- Sales team (to align promotions with commercial priorities)
- Supply Chain (to ensure promo stock availability)
- Quality & Operations (for organic compliance messaging)
- Finance (promo spend tracking & accruals)
- Act as the single point of coordination for trade promotions execution
- Budget Management & ROI Tracking
- Manage allocated trade marketing budget responsibly
- Track:
- Promotion costs
- Visibility spends
- Activation expenses
- Evaluate ROI of promotions using:
- Sell-out data
- Volume uplift
- Incremental revenue
- Recommend optimize / stop / scale decisions based on data
- Market & Shopper Insights
- Monitor competitor activity:
- Pricing
- Promotions
- Visibility tactics
- Capture shopper behavior insights specific to organic products
- Share actionable insights with Sales & Marketing teams
- Retailer Relationship Support
- Support Key Account Managers during:
- Joint Business Planning (JBP)
- Range reviews
- Promotional negotiations
- Participate in retailer promotional events and campaigns
- Ensure brand representation meets retailer and company standards
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field
- 2–4 years of experience in UAE in the field of
- Trade Marketing
- FMCG / Fresh Foods / Perishables
- Modern Trade retail environment (UAE experience a must)
- Experience with organic or health-focused categories is a big plus
- Valid UAE Driving License is a mus
